  • Respect Nature: Show love for God's creations by taking care of the environment and all living beings.

From Surface Love to Deep LoveA Journey Towards Deeper Connections

➡️1Peter 4:8⬅️

Most important of all, love each other deeply, because love makes you willing to forgive many sins.

LOVE is a universal language that transcends boundaries, cultures, and beliefs. It's a force that binds us together, yet its depths remain largely unexplored. In a world driven by fast-paced living, we often find ourselves stuck in surface-level connections.

But is there something inherently wrong with being a "Surface Lover"?

Let's delve into this notion and discover the potential for profound growth through the POWER OF LOVE.

Surface LoveA Closer Look

Being a "Surface Lover" doesn't imply shallowness or a lack of empathy. Instead, it signifies an approach to love that dwells on the external, the tangible, and the immediate

It's the joy in shared experiences, the comfort in small talk, and the appreciation for the here and now.

SURFACE LOVE is what keeps us connected to friends, family, and acquaintances. It's the foundation on which all relationships are built. Without this initial layer, we'd never have the opportunity to explore deeper connections.

The Power of ChristNurturing Deeper Love

While SURFACE LOVE is beautiful and necessary, the call for DEEPER CONNECTIONS beckons.

This is where the power of Christ steps in, offering us guidance and strength to love beyond the superficial. The teachings of Christ emphasize COMPASSION, FORGIVENESS, and SELFLESS GIVING – the cornerstones of profound love.

Compassion: Christ's love is rooted in compassion for all beings. It's about seeing beyond the exterior and embracing the inherent worth in every soul. When we let this compassion guide our interactions, we begin to touch the depths of love that go beyond appearances.

Forgiveness: True love involves forgiveness. It's the ability to let go of grudges, to release the weight of past transgressions, and to offer a fresh start. By practicing forgiveness, we open the door to transformative, enduring relationships.

Selfless Giving: Christ's love is characterized by selflessness. It's the willingness to give without expecting anything in return. When we adopt this mindset, we elevate our relationships from mere transactions to meaningful exchanges of care and support.

The Journey of Transformation

Transforming from a "Surface Lover" to a "Deep Lover" is a journey, not an overnight change.

It requires introspection, self-awareness, and a commitment to living out the principles of Christ's teachings. It's about actively seeking opportunities to go beyond the surface, to listen with intention, and to love without reservation.

SURFACE LOVE is a beautiful starting point, a canvas upon which we paint the vibrant tapestry of our connections.

However, the call to LOVE DEEPLY is a profound invitation to explore the boundless depths of human connection. With the power of Christ as our guide, we can embark on a journey that leads to transformative, enduring relationships that enrich our lives in ways we never imagined.

So, let us embrace both the SURFACE and the DEEP, knowing that in this duality, we find the true essence of love.

➡️1Peter 4:8⬅️

Most important of all, love each other deeply, because love makes you willing to forgive many sins.

Tough LOVE is about caring enough to correct and guide, always aiming for the well-being and growth of those we love.

COMMANDMENT #10Wise LOVE

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” – Matthew 10:16

Sometimes people will try to walk all over you when they know that you are a person of LOVE and peace. Jesus said to be wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove. We must protect ourselves from certain people and things. We must be on our P’s & Q’s daily from people who might be potentially harmful to us. We don’t necessarily have to hang out with someone to LOVE them. Some relatives and friends are best to LOVE from a distance (Long-Distance-Love).

Example: If a relative or friend has sneaky ways or always doing you wrong, it will be best to keep minimum contact with that person, but continue to love them through the power of Christ.

Wise LOVE requires a balance between maintaining your compassionate nature and protecting yourself from potential harm. This doesn't mean closing your heart, but rather being discerning about your INTERACTIONS and BOUNDARIES. Here are a few tips on practicing wise love:

  • Set Boundaries: Establish clear limits with those who have hurt or taken advantage of you. Communicate these boundaries respectfully and firmly.

  • Discernment: Use your wisdom to identify when someone’s behavior is toxic. Trust your instincts and prioritize your well-being without compromising your loving nature.

  • Forgiveness with Caution: While it’s important to forgive, wise love means not putting yourself back into harmful situations. Forgive, but remember to protect yourself.

  • Self-Care: Loving yourself includes protecting your mental and emotional health. Don’t feel guilty for taking steps to ensure your own well-being.

  • Positive Influences: Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you. Their positive energy will reinforce your loving nature while providing a safe space.

  • Distance with Compassion: Sometimes, the best way to love someone is from afar. This can help you maintain your peace while still holding love for them in your heart.

By practicing WISE-LOVEyou ensure that your loving spirit remains intact and vibrant, even in the face of adversity. Protect your heart, but never stop letting it lead you towards COMPASSION and KINDNESS.

By embracing these 10 LOVE COMMANDMENTS, we can live a life filled with COMPASSIONRESPECT, and GENUINE AFFECTION for all. Let LOVE be the guiding force in all that you do.

This means acknowledging your sins, seeking forgiveness, and inviting Yeshua into your heart as your Lord and Savior. This step lays the foundation for your spiritual transformation.

Prayer of Repentance: "Lord Yeshua, I acknowledge that I am a sinner in need of Your grace. I repent of my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. I invite You into my heart and commit my life to following You. Help me to grow in love and faith as I embark on this journey to becoming a Love Warrior. Amen."

Step 2: Deepen your understanding of LOVE by immersing yourself in the teachings of the Apostle John.

The books of 1 John2 John, and 3 John provide profound insights into loving God, yourself, and others.

These epistles emphasize the importance of living in truth, loving one another, and staying faithful to God's commandments.

Key Takeaways from 1 John, 2 John, and 3 John:

Practical Ways to Live Out Your Faith:

  • Serve Others: Volunteer your time and resources to help those in need. Whether it's feeding the homeless, visiting the sick, or supporting a local charity, your actions should reflect God's love.

  • Practice Forgiveness: Let go of grudges and extend forgiveness to those who have wronged you. This act of love frees you from bitterness and mirrors the forgiveness you have received from God.

Remember: "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:35

What is a

LOVE WARRIOR

In the realm of SPIRITUAL GROWTH, the concept of a "LOVE WARRIOR" stands out as a beacon of STRENGTHCOMPASSION, and UNWAVERING COMMITMENT

A prime example of a LOVE WARRIOR is APOSTLE PETER, whose journey embodies the essence of LOVE combined with the READINESS to DEFEND and PROTECT!

I use my

"ANGERNESS" for "RIGHTEOUSNESS"!

Apostle Peter:

The Quintessential Love Warrior

Apostle Peter, a key figure in the early Christian church, demonstrated what it means to be a LOVE WARRIOR. Known for his passionate nature, Peter's love for Jesus and his fellow disciples was profound. This love was not just passive affection, but an active, sometimes FIERCE, commitment to PROTECTING those he cared about.

One of the most telling moments in Peter's life was when he drew his sword and cut off the ear of a soldier who came to arrest Jesus. This act of DEFENSE, though rebuked by Jesus, highlighted Peter's WARRIOR SPIRIT. Jesus told Peter to put back his sword, emphasizing that He didn't need physical defense. This incident shows that even someone at the WARRIOR level, full of LOVE, can act out of SELF-DEFENSE when they perceive a threat to their loved ones.

How to Make it to HEAVEN

If a person wants to make it into "GOD’S PARADISE," they would have to become a "DISCIPLE," a "LOVE SOLDIER," or a "LOVE WARRIOR."

The JOURNEY to HEAVEN is not just about passive belief, but about active, SACRIFICIAL LOVE. As Jesus taught, LOVE is the hallmark of His true DISCIPLES.

Becoming a

LOVE WARRIOR

  • Embrace the Commandment of Love: Jesus gave us a clear directive in John 13:34-35: "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." This love is not just a feeling but an action, demonstrated through kindness, sacrifice, and sometimes tough love.

  • Practice Tough Love: Being a Love Warrior means knowing when to show compassion and when to stand firm. Like Peter, there may be times when defending your faith and loved ones requires bold actions. However, it is essential to balance this with humility and a willingness to learn from Jesus, who is the ultimate example of love.

  • Commit to Spiritual Growth: Moving from a believer to a disciple, and eventually to a Love Warrior, requires dedication to spiritual practices such as prayer, Bible study, and service. Surround yourself with a community that supports and challenges you to grow in your faith.

  • Serve Others Selflessly: Love Warriors are known for their selflessness. They serve others not for recognition but out of genuine love and a desire to fulfill God’s commandments. Look for opportunities to help those in need and share the love of Christ through your actions.

LOVE WARRIORS like APOSTLE PETER remind us that LOVE is not passive, but active and sometimes requires TOUGH decisions. To make it to HEAVEN and be known as a DISCIPLE of CHRIST, we must embody this LOVE in our daily lives. By striving to become LOVE SOLDIERS and LOVE WARRIORS, we move closer to God's ideal for us and His promise of eternal paradise.
